BOI'S CLUB GAMES is an independent game development studio founded by BryanThaBoi, a seasoned software developer with over two decades of programming experience. With a focus on innovative gameplay mechanics and nostalgic aesthetics, we create games that challenge conventions while delivering memorable experiences.
The Developer Behind the Games
At 34 years old, I've spent the last 20 years honing my programming skills across various platforms and technologies. My professional journey has equipped me with expertise in TypeScript, React, and Next.js—skills that I leverage daily as a full-time software developer in the technology sector.
My passion for game development manifested in a particularly memorable moment during the birth of my second child. While keeping my wife company in the hospital, I began coding what would eventually become Opega—channeling nervous energy into creative expression. This project has since evolved, and I'm currently working on porting it to native mobile platforms using React Native to reach a broader audience.
I love programming. My favorite vacation ever was one where I spent the entire thing programming (it was peak covid, don't judge me).

My current flagship project is RNG JAM, an innovative roguelite that draws inspiration from the iconic NBA Jam series. This game combines procedural generation with fast-paced arcade gameplay, creating a unique experience where every session offers fresh challenges and unpredictable moments.
Voice Quest
Released
Voice Quest represents a breakthrough in interactive gaming, implementing voice-controlled mechanics that allow players to navigate platforms, collect items, and interact with the environment using voice commands. The game features a distinctive visual style and a humorous narrative delivered by an unconventional narrator—a giant, sarcastic floating skull that provides commentary throughout the adventure.
Opega Mobile

Born during the anticipation of my second child's arrival, Opega has a special place in my portfolio. What started as a hospital waiting room project has evolved into a fully-featured game. I'm currently adapting this title for mobile platforms using React Native, enhancing its accessibility while maintaining the core gameplay experience that makes it special.

Beyond coding, I'm passionate about music composition and sound design. I've created all the musical scores and sound effects for my games, crafting audio experiences that complement the visual elements. This integrated approach ensures a cohesive artistic vision throughout each project, with sounds and music that enhance the gameplay and emotional impact.
Technical Expertise
My technical foundation spans multiple domains within software development. In addition to game creation, I've explored modding existing titles like Diablo 1 using DevilutionX and Infernity frameworks, and I've implemented custom modifications for Balatro to enhance gameplay elements. I have also dabbled in developing advanced Twitch chat integrations using NodeCG—creating interactive streaming experiences that bridge the gap between content creators and their audiences.
My professional work involves creating websites using NextJS and Node and optimizing Jest testing frameworks.
Personal Life
Beyond the screen, I'm a devoted family man. I'm married and have two wonderful children—my older son who has an enthusiastic passion for monster trucks, and my younger son who is still in the early stages of development. This balance between professional creativity and family life provides both inspiration and purpose, influencing the themes and values reflected in my work.
My creative pursuits extend beyond game development into music production and video creation. As the composer for all musical elements in my games, I ensure that each soundtrack enhances the gameplay experience while establishing a distinctive audio identity. Additionally, I channel my passion for video editing into creating content for YouTube, where I share insights into game development, nostalgic gaming experiences, and behind-the-scenes looks at my creative process.
